Local Flowers just hit different

Flowers found me in early 2021. The Instagram algorithm probably had something to do with it, but the moment I sowed my first seeds, I was hooked.  Our farm now grows over 2 acres of cut flowers (including tulips, peonies, ranunculus, anemones, dahlias, and zinnias just to name a few), many of which end up in our wedding designs.

Growing the flowers that we design not only allows us to use the freshest and the prettiest flowers for your wedding, but also allows us to plant colours specific for your wedding day.

Local & Seasonal with International Reach

Our wedding designs utilize a mix of locally grown (from our farm and other Ontario flower farms) flowers as well as flowers sourced from international growers.  This allows us to not only utilize the best of our current season, but ensure that we have access to your specific colour and style no matter the weather.  During our growing season (May to September), your designs will be full of farm- & Ontario-grown flowers such as dahlias, tulips, zinnias, ranunculus, snapdragons, and cosmos.  Outside of our growing season, you'll find ranunculus, roses, and chrysanthemums just to name a few.  Not sure what is in season or can be locally grown?  Do not fret, friend!  This is my speciality and with me, I'll guide you through the flowers, each step of the way.

 As a former math teacher, I love simplifying complicated things, and I bring this to our wedding work here at Mapleton Acres. Whether you’re DIY-ing your flowers or opting for full-service delivery, set-up, and clean-up, flowers should be fun. You do not need to know what’s in season, what varieties are available, or whether that flower is terracotta, peach, pink, or orange—that’s why you have me with you each step of the way.
